Hippityhop was formed in 2007 to provide services for the new Energy Surveying and Home Information Pack Providing market. We operate out of Northampton and cover a wide area throughout the midlands.
As of 1st October 2008, any dwelling marketed for sale or rent requires an Energy Performance Certificate. This is a useful resource for buyers in that the report (usually 5 or 6 pages) provides information about the property, heating systems and running costs.
It also provides recommendations to increase the energy efficiency of the property which in turn saves money on fuel bills and can help towards the environment by reducing carbon emissions.
With the “demise” of Home Information Packs (HIP or Sellers Packs), we have diversified and widened the scope of our services.

Asbestos Surveying and Sampling
This service is available for commercial and domestic clients. Whether you need to know if a textured ceiling contains asbestos or if you need a complete management or refurbishment survey for your commercial premises (in accordance with Part 4, CAR 2006) we can provide a professional survey and (where required) will get samples analysed in a UKAS approved laboratory.
Estimate Price Checking Service
Useful for homeowners having works carried out who have been given an estimate and want to check that the quote provided is fair. We provide an impartial opinion at a realistic cost.
Post Works Inspections
We can look at works either as they are being carried out (as part of managing a contractor) or on completion to give you peace of mind that the work you have had carried out has been completed to an acceptable standard.
