From October 2008 any dwelling being marketed for sale or rent requires an Energy Performance Certificate or EPC. An EPC is required when marketing a dwelling for rent. The energy certificate contains recommendations to improve the energy performance and reduce the carbon emissions of a dwelling. An energy certificate used to form part of the Home Information Pack or HIP. HIP Packs used to be a requirement when marketing your home for sale.

At Hippityhop we provide Energy Performance Certificates, asbestos surveys for both commercial and domestic clients (including taking and having samples tested) and also advice on buildings works in the form of an estimate “price checking” service.

 

Based in Northampton, we provide our services in Northampton, Daventry, Milton Keynes, Banbury, Buckingham, Brackley, Rugby, Leamington, Coventry, Nuneaton, Market Harborough, Corby, Kettering,Wellingborough and all surrounding areas.

 

We deal with individuals and large clients and provide our energy certificates, asbestos surveys / sampling and building advice at competitive rates with a high level of service.

 

We are qualified SAP assessors and produce new build energy certificates (ocepc’s). We also arrange air pressure testing, code assessments and gas safety checks.

If you suspect you may have asbestos containing materials at home and are thinking of disturbing them then we are able to visit your property and safely take samples away for testing in a UKAS approved laboratory. You will be provided with a certificate detailing the findings.

 

Commercial premises require asbestos management surveys to comply with Part 4 CAR2006 (control of asbestos regulations 2006)  and we can provide a comprehensive survey report and, where required, take samples and have them tested.
